Harry Wachter
(1866 - 1941)

Resident Architect for the Toledo Museum of Art

Prominent Toledo architect who worked with Edward B. Green's Buffalo firm on the design and construction of the Greek revival Toledo Museum of Art. Wachter is also credited with designing several churches, including the Park Congregational Church on Glendale Avenue and First Presbyterian Church in Napoleon, Ohio; as well as several historic homes in Toledo's Old West End and Bronson Place neighborhoods. 

A fellow of the American Institute of Architects. He was also an avid golfer. He was one of the founders of Ottawa Park Golf Club and served as the first president of the Sylvania Country Club.
