Department Store Owner

His father purchased Tiedtke's department store in 1925.  Marvin managed the store and became president in 1952.

Kobacker was an active civic leader, working to keep downtown vibrant. He was a major donor to The Toledo Museum of Art and The Toledo Symphony.  He built Kobacker Hall at BGSU and contributed $1.2 million to the Kobacker Center at the University of Toledo Medical Center.
