In the 1930's, Robert developed a large estate property along Central Ave. as a family home. The 32,000 square foot mansion was completed in 1938. In 1974, a grass roots, citizen's campaign rescued about 500 acres of the original estate from being developed and it is now known as Wildwood Preserve Metropark.
